Aspiring vocalists now have the chance to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a White Sox home game this summer. The team has officially opened up submissions for its 2025 National Anthem Contest, with the winning singer set to perform live at Guaranteed Rate Field on Sunday, August 11.

How to Apply:
To be considered, contestants must submit a video audition online through the official White Sox website (see below for the submission link)
Here’s what to include in your video:
- A brief introduction with your name, age, and hometown
- A short explanation of why you want to perform the anthem
- A performance of the national anthem (or a portion of it), keeping the total video length under two minutes
The White Sox encourage singers to wear team gear to show off their South Side spirit, but most importantly, all entries should be cleanly recorded with clear audio and no background noise.
Live Final Auditions:
From the pool of online submissions, a group of finalists will be invited to audition live at Guaranteed Rate Field on Wednesday, July 24.
A panel of judges, including CBS News Chicago’s Jori Parys, will help select the winner who will sing in front of thousands of fans before the first pitch of the August 11 game.
