The Details:
Rehearsal Dates: Oct 12th – Nov 20th
(Rehearsals are generally Sun-Thur, 6:30pm-10:30pm)
Mandatory Tech Week: Nov 16th – Nov 20th
Performances run for 4 Weekends: Nov 21st – Dec 14th
Includes Fri 8pm, Sat 2pm & 8pm, & Sun 2pm
(*May add additional performances including Thursday evenings at a later date)
For a faster and more convenient experience, you are strongly encouraged to book a guaranteed audition appointment time. Anyone auditioning without a scheduled appointment will be seen in the next available time slot as they arrive. *Note* Walk-ups may experience a much longer wait time.
To secure a time slot for your in person audition, please email auditions@henegar.org with your SATB vocal part, preferred date & time, and performer headshot. Please be patient, it make take a few days to respond due to high volume request
In person auditions will have first consideration for casting, however performers traveling further than 90 miles from The Henegar may submit a virtual audition. Submissions should include headshot, theatre resume and a vocal selection from the production, and a short dance reel (if applicable). Email your submission to auditions@henegar.org by Saturday, Sep 20th. Please include if there are any specific roles you’d like to be considered for, if you would be willing to accept any other role, if you have any conflicts throughout the run, and if you would require housing if available.

- Bob Cratchit – Vocal Range -(C3 – Gb4)
- Bob is a good-natured and hard-working man, doing his best to stay positive while supporting a large family and working for a difficult boss. (Male Identifying, able to play 30 to 40)
- Mrs Cratchit- Vocal Range – (A3-D5)
- Bob Cratchit’s supportive wife and mother to their large brood. (Female Identifying, able to play 30+)
- Tiny Tim – Vocal Range – (D4-D5) – Tiny Tim is Cratchit’s partially crippled son who still believes in everything around him, despite his physical condition. -(Male Identifying, able to play 8 to 12)
- Fred – Vocal Range – (C3-G4) – Fred is the opposite of his uncle Scrooge— upbeat and optimistic, he celebrates his life, even though he’s not well off financially. (Male Identifying, able to play 20+)
- Young Ebenezer – Vocal Range – (C3-G4) – Unlike his older self, Young Ebenezer tempers his drive to succeed with a dash of wide-eyed romance. (Male Identifying, able to play late teens – early 20’s)
- Belle- Vocal Range – (B3-E5) – Belle is the girl of Young Ebenezer’s dreams, who falls for him but is strong and independent enough to walk away when he chooses work over her. (Female Identifying, able to play late teens – early 20’s)
- Elizabeth – Vocal Range – (B3-E5) – Elizabeth is Fred’s better half, confident and strong, a modern woman who isn’t afraid to let her voice be heard. (Female Identifying, able to play late teens – early 20’s)
- Ghost of Christmas Past – Vocal Range – (Ab2-Gb4) – The Ghost seems soft and airy, but her seemingly abstract questioning of Scrooge jogs memories intentionally pushes him to address memories he’d be happier to push aside. (Female Identifying, able to play late teens+)
- Ghost of Christmas Present – Vocal Range – (B3-F5) – Loud and boisterous, The Ghost lives in the moment but mixes his good nature with a serious understanding of the weight of time. (Male Identifying, Able to play 20+)
- Jacob Marley – Vocal Range – (C#3-Eb4) – The ghost of Jacob Marley shows the tragic end of a life lived like Scrooge’s. He deals in heavy emotions at all times— anger and anguish mostly. (Male Identifying, Adult)
- Old Joe – Vocal Range – (A2-E4) – Old Joe is a street person with a wicked sense of humor who’s not afraid to engage in some dirty business. (Male Identifying, Adult)
- Molly – Vocal Range – (A3-C5) – The female equivalent of Old Joe. (Female Identifying, Adult)

- Collecting Man 1 – Vocal Range – (Bb2-F4)
- Collecting Man 2 – Vocal Range – (Bb2-Bb4)
- Collecting Man 3 – Vocal Range – (Bb2-F4)
- The Collecting Men are somewhat lovable fops who finish one another’s sentences and have their sales pitch down to a science. (Male Identifying, Adult)
- Mr. Fezziwig – Vocal Range – (C3-E4) – Mr. Fezziwig is a huge personality who is loved by all and who wants nothing more than to share his success with everyone around him. (Male Identifying, Able to play 40+)
- Mrs. Fezziwig – Vocal Range – (C4-D5) – Much like Mr. Fezziwig, Mrs. Fezziwig is a big personality who turns everything she touches into a celebration. (Female Identifying, Able to play 40+)
- Mrs. Dilber – Vocal Range – (A3-C5) – Scrooge’s miserable housekeeper who runs with a rougher crowd than Scrooge probably knows. (Female Identifying, Able to play 50+)
- Martha Cratchit – Vocal Range – (C4-E5) – Bob Cratchit’s oldest child who has moved out but who makes it home for Christmas, knowing how important it is to the family. (Female Identifying, Able to play Older Teen +)
- Belinda Cratchit – Vocal Range – (A3-A4) – Bob Cratchit’s younger daughter. (Female Identifying, Pre-Teen)
- Willie Cratchit – Vocal Range – (A3-A4) – Bob Cratchit’s younger son. (Male Identifying, Pre-Teen)
- Peter Cratchit – Vocal Range – (C3-D4) – Bob Cratchit’s oldest son, on the brink of adulthood but ot quite there yet. (Male Identifying, Early Teens )
- Boy Scrooge – Non-Singing – Scrooge as a child is sullen and lonely, mostly content to bury himself in books rather than engage the world around him. (Male Identifying, Pre-Teen)
- Clara – Vocal Range – (F4-C5) – A guest at Fred’s party and one object of Topper’s affections. (Female Identifying Able to play Early 20’s)
- Cora – Vocal Range – (F4-C5) – Another guest at Fred’s party and another object of Topper’s affections. (Female Identifying Able to play Early 20’s)
- Bessie Fezziwig – Vocal Range – (F4-C5) – Mr. Fezziwig’s pretty daughter. (Female Identifying Able to play older teen)
- Topper- Vocal Range – (Bb2-D4) – Fred’s somewhat rowdy but entertaining friend. (Female Identifying Able to play 20+)
- Turkey Boy- Non-singing role – A boy Scrooge meets on the street who is sent on an errand. (Male Identifying, Pre-teen)
- Dick Wilkins- Vocal Range – (C3-F4) – Young Ebenezer’s best friend, an outgoing and confident young man. (Male Identifying Able to play late teens early 20’s)
- Rogues’s Song Soloist #1- Vocal Range – (A3-C#5) – A homeless person, lost and alone in the streets at night. (Female Identifying, Adult)
