Auditions for New Untitled Mindy Kaling TV Series Seeking South Asian Actor
The Telsey Office is holding open auditions for a new untitled TV series from executive producers Mindy Kaling, Charlie Grandy, and Howard Klein. Produced by Vertical Hold Productions LLC, a Warner Bros. Television Group company, the series begins filming its first season in New York from September through December 2025.
Casting directors are seeking a South Asian male actor in his 20s to portray a funny, confident, and easy-going personal trainer and aspiring fitness mogul. This seems to be a speaking role in the currently untitled TV show. The character has an impressive physique and good looks that lead him—somewhat reluctantly—into the world of modeling, despite his more cerebral ambitions.
This is a SAG-AFTRA production, and salary terms are in accordance with the union agreement, with rates for series regulars ranging between approximately $8,382 to $70,000 per episode, depending on factors such as role, engagement length, and production needs.
The casting directors at Telsey state that no acting experience is required to be considered for the role.
