The Dinner Detective Milwaukee Casting Actors for Ongoing Murder Mystery Dinner Shows
The Dinner Detective, America’s largest interactive murder mystery dinner show, is holding auditions for company members in Milwaukee! This is a paid, ongoing opportunity for local actors and improvisers to perform in a unique, engaging theatrical experience — no waiting tables required.
Audition Details:
Date: Saturday, August 9, 2025
Time: 12:00–2:00 PM (plan to stay for the full two hours)
Location: Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, 333 W. Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53203
What to Prepare: Nothing! Auditions are fully improvised.
Actors must be at least 18 years old and comfortable interacting with audience members in a scripted and semi-improvised environment. You’ll pose as an audience member during the show, blending in before the mystery unfolds.
About the Show:
The Dinner Detective is an interactive murder mystery dinner show performed in over 100 locations across North America. Set in the present day and taking place in real time, the show engages the audience as they work to solve the crime while enjoying dinner. Performances take place on Saturday nights at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee and at private events.
Rehearsals & Performances:
Rehearsal: 4:00–5:45 PM (day of the show)
Show: 6:00–9:00 PM
Actors are cast based on monthly availability and are not required to work every show.
Compensation:
Actors earn between $50–$115 per show depending on role, plus dinner and gratuity.
Audition Format:
Auditions will consist of group improv exercises, scenes, and discussion. No prepared monologues or scenes are needed, and no callbacks will be held.
