Auditions Announced for Two Fall Productions at Mount Wachusett Community College
Mount Wachusett Community College has announced open auditions for two dynamic productions this fall: the heartwarming children’s musical Have You Filled a Bucket Today? and the high-energy Broadway classic Anything Goes.
Auditions for Have You Filled a Bucket Today?
This lively and colorful musical, based on Carol McCloud’s award-winning books and Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead’s The Bucket Filling Fairy, uses catchy songs, playful characters, and plenty of laughs to teach audiences about kindness and appreciation through the metaphor of “bucket-filling.” Directed by Kyle Carlson, with musical direction by Dave Twiss and choreography by Jillian Whitney, the show is perfect for kids and adults alike.

Casting Needs:
An ensemble cast of 8–12 teenagers (ages 14+).
Audition Details:
Dates: Tuesday, July 15 & Wednesday, July 16 at 6:00 PM (by appointment)
Location: Mount Wachusett Community College, Room A110
Preparation: A short vocal selection will be taught during auditions, and cold readings from the script will be required. Please wear comfortable clothing for a dance/movement audition.
Performances:
October 25 at MWCC
Touring October 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24 (performers should plan to miss school for weekday tour dates).
Rehearsals:
Begin August 18: Sunday afternoons, Monday & Wednesday evenings.

Auditions for Anything Goes
Set sail for adventure and hilarity aboard the S.S. American in this timeless Cole Porter musical filled with unforgettable songs, dazzling dance numbers, and comedic hijinks. Directed by Craig Cormier, with musical direction by Senja Morgan and choreography by Allison Hall, this production promises to deliver big laughs and big talent.
Casting Needs:
A large adult cast (ages 16+) featuring principal, featured, and ensemble roles. Tap dancing experience is a plus for several roles.
Audition Details:
Dates: Monday, July 14 & Tuesday, July 15 at 7:00 PM (by appointment)
Location: Mount Wachusett Community College, Room A110
Preparation: Bring a prepared vocal selection that showcases your range (sheet music required if not from the show). Wear comfortable clothing and footwear for a dance audition; tap shoes encouraged for tappers. Cold readings from the script for principal roles.

October 3, 4, 10, 11 at 7:30 PM; October 12 at 2:00 PM.

“The Bucket Filling Fairy” will be performed at Theatre at the Mount at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, and will be on tour Thursday, Oct. 16, Friday, Oct. 17, Wednesday, Oct. 22, Thursday, Oct. 23, and Friday, Oct. 24. (Tour dates are weekdays – performers should plan to miss school on these dates).
