Auditions for “Big Girls Need Love Too” Gospel Stage Play.
Directors are in search of male and female Actors/Singers/Extras to fill the following roles:
KIM (30’s) African American Female
(Plus sized) She is your everyday girl but has a strong anointing on her life. Must be able to praise dance or willing to learn a dance.
ESTELLE (30’s-40’s) African American Female
(Plus sized, Slightly Curvy) She is the crazy and witty one of the clan and a diva. One of Kim’s best friends. Must Sing
KAYLA (30’s) African American Female
(Plus sized) She is the mild mannered one of the clan and is also one of Kim’s best friends. Must Sing.
SIS. JENKINS (50’s-60’s) African American Female
(Can be Plus sized) Bipolar Schizophrenic female who adopted Kayla. Must be able to constantly shift moods at any given time. Must Sing.
1ST LADY PATRICE (20’s) African American Female
(America’s Next Top Model Type) She is younger than the pastor, she’s anointed but believes in looking good. She’s one of the girls. To be able to sing is a plus.
PASTOR WILKINS (45-50) African American Male
Very rude and blunt to Kim. Must Sing, (with a Luther Vandross Sound)
GARY (45-50) African American Male
Arrogant, Sneaky and Conniving, and is the Deacon of the church.
CARL: (40-50) African American Male
Clean cut and intelligent businessman. Very nice and loves helping people.
CURTIS (70+ or can portray the role) African American Male
COMICAL and has Alzheimer’s. Always quotes famous lines from his favorite movie.
BACKGROUND SINGERS Both genders18-56 y.o. All ethnicities
Looking for Sopranos, Altos and Tenors and doesn’t mind being on stage for a scene.
PRAISE DANCERS Both genders18-56 y.o. All ethnicities
Looking for praise dancers for a scene in the play.
EXTRAS Both genders18-56 y.o. All ethnicities
People that just want to be a part of scenes in the play.
