Detroit Repertory Theatre is hosting auditions Nov. 24 and 25 for the closing show of 2025-2026 season

A new political satire about clashing egos and the importance of representation in art production.

Co-Directed by Maurizio Dominguez and Leah Smith

A hilarious look at modern politics and absurd theatre.
Show runs: May 29, 2026 to June 28, 2026

Audition dates: Monday, November 24, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, November 25, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

All auditions are In-Person.
Auditioners must call the Theatre to schedule an audition appointment.

The auditions will consist of reading sides from the script.

Roles available:

Liliana Tzintzún – (Early 20’s) A theater arts major. Mexican American. Of indigenous origin.
Fernando Calderón – Renowned Mexican Theater artist. Light skinned and, if possible, bearded.
Tom Leary – (50’s 60’s) Artistic director of the San Francisco People’s Theatre. White.

Knowledge of the play is HIGHLY recommended. Paper scripts are available from the Detroit Repertory Theatre and may be borrowed overnight for a refundable deposit of $20.
