Hockey Fights Cancer – Casting for NHL Fans who are Cancer Survivors in New York City.
The NHL’s annual Hockey Fights Cancer initiative is casting passionate hockey fans who are cancer survivors for an upcoming social media campaign. The production is looking for authentic voices to share their experiences, highlighting not only their journey with cancer but also the passions, relationships, and interests that define their everyday lives.
Seeking four to six adults between the ages of 18 and 60 from all backgrounds who have a genuine love of hockey and are comfortable speaking on camera.
Note that both actors and non-actors are encouraged to apply.
Filming is scheduled for late August or early September in Manhattan, New York.
Exact dates to be announced. Applicants should live within approximately two hours of New York City or have accommodations available in the area, as travel and lodging are not being provided.

Seeking:
- Looking for 4-6 cancer survivors in total for this project who:
- love hockey,
- are ages (18-60), must be legally 18,
- all races and genders
Cancer survivors who are passionate hockey fans with a genuine personal connection to the game
Individuals whose stories showcase the many facets of their lives beyond their cancer journey, including hobbies, traditions, family, and fandom
Comfortable speaking on camera and sharing personal experiences in an authentic way
Strong communicators who can inspire others through messages of resilience, perseverance, and hope
Authentic, uplifting personalities who embody the idea that cancer is part of their story, but not their identity
Shoots: Late August/Early September. Dates TBD
Location: Manhattan, NY
Do not submit if you live more than 2 hours from NYC unless you have family/friends to stay with in the area
