500 Background Actors for NASCAR Daytona 500 Commercial.
A major NASCAR commercial is looking for 500 background actors to take part in a beach scene in the Daytona Beach area. The commercial will bring racing history back to its roots, recreating the days when Daytona’s racing story began on the sand. The scene will feature a quiet beach morning turning into a rush of fans, race crews, cars and today’s NASCAR drivers.
The casting call is open to people ages 13 and older, all genders and ethnicities.
Filming is scheduled for Monday, November 9, in the Daytona Beach area.
Filming is expected to last about six hours, with filming planned for midday, but talent should keep the entire day available.
Payrate:
The role pays $100 for the day. This will be an active shoot, and participants should be comfortable jogging or running on sand for up to a minute at a time and carrying props ranging from smaller items to large flags. Minors ages 13 to 17 must have a parent or guardian on set.
Wardrobe should be casual beachwear or athleisure clothing that allows for movement, along with sneakers suitable for running. Bright, solid colors are encouraged, but clothing cannot have large logos, brand names or graphics. Bathing suits are not permitted.
The shoot will include pyrotechnics and special effects managed by a licensed stunt and safety team. Applicants should be comfortable working around these effects and following all safety instructions.
