South Florida residents will soon have a chance to hear one of television’s most famous phrases: “Come on down!”
CBS Miami is partnering with The Price Is Right for a special contestant search event at Toyota of Hollywood. The gameshow auditions will take place on Friday, August 28, giving local fans an opportunity to audition for the long-running game show and potentially earn a trip to Los Angeles.
The Price is Right is hosted by Drew Carey. The Price Is Right is the longest-running game show in television history and one of CBS’s most popular daytime programs. Contestants are selected directly from the studio audience and compete in pricing games for the chance to win cash, cars, vacations, and other major prizes before advancing to the Showcase round. Since its debut in 1972, the series has become a staple of American television and remains one of the most recognizable game shows in the world.

The South Florida casting event will take place on 8/28
- From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Toyota of Hollywood, located at 1841 N. State Rd. 7 in Hollywood, Florida.
During the audition process, participants will have approximately 30 seconds in front of a camera to introduce themselves and answer questions from casting producers. Judges will be looking for enthusiasm, personality, and memorable responses as they select two semifinalists from the event.
Admission is free, and no purchase is required to participate. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legal residents of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or Washington, D.C.
Those selected as semifinalists will move on in the casting process for a chance to appear on the iconic CBS game show and compete for prizes in front of a national audience.
