Naruto Live Action Movie is now in pre-production and the Naruto movie needs a teen to play Naruto & Sakura.
A major live action adaptation of Naruto is moving forward.
Carmen Cuba Casting is conducting a nationwide search for the upcoming English language feature film from Lionsgate. The live action movie is based on the popular manga created by Masashi Kishimoto. Masashi Kishimoto is reported to be closely involved with this silver screen & large budget production.
Online video auditions for boys between 13 and 15 years old to play Naruto:
Naruto:
- The role calls for a lean, athletic build and someone who can handle the physical side of the character.
- Experience in martial arts, dance, gymnastics, parkour or other movement disciplines is a plus.
- Actor must also be able to speak with an American accent. Actors of mixed race Asian descent are encouraged to apply.
- Prior professional acting experience is not required.

- Athletic, toned physique. Experience in martial arts, dance, movement, gymnastics, or parkour is a plus.
- Must be able to speak with an American accent.

The Movie:
Naruto follows a young ninja who grows up as an outsider in the Hidden Leaf Village while dreaming of becoming Hokage. Hokage translates to “fire shadow.” That title is bestowed on the leader of Naruto’s village. Seems the official plot and synopsis is still under wraps. Furthermore, no release date has been released.
Production:
The live action movie is being directed and co-written by American filmmaker, Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and is also directing Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Lionsgate officially announced Cretton’s involvement in 2024 and said the film would be based on Kishimoto’s original manga. Avi Arad, Ari Arad, Emmy Yu and Jeremy Latcham are among the producers, with Cretton also producing alongside Jeyun Munford.
The project entered a major new stage in 2026 when Lionsgate and Cretton launched a worldwide search for the three young members of Team 7: Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura. The official Naruto website confirmed the production is in progress and still moving along with character casting. Also, some roles have already been cast, per variety.
