BALTIMORE CENTER STAGE – CASTING CALL FOR LOCAL BALTIMORE/DMV ACTORS
(pray) is coming to Baltimore Center Stage, a kinetic, vibrant choreopoem that channels the energy, rhythm, and release of a Sunday Baptist church service. This production celebrates and confronts the complexity of spiritual inheritance through movement, voice, breath, and bold presence.

MUST BE BALTIMORE LOCALS / DMV ARTISTS ARE ALSO WELCOME.
Production Dates:
May 19, 2026 through July 12, 2026
Please note we will be holding auditions on February 20, 2026.
CONTRACT:
$1144/week + AEA benefits
Roles:
FEMME SINGER/DANCER
Femme and/or Female (cis, trans, or non-binary), any age, Black (with respect to the Diaspora). Must be a STRONG singer who is comfortable with spoken word, some dance, and their spirituality. Playing the tambourine is a plus.
FEMME DANCER
Femme and/or Female (cis, trans, or non-binary), 40-60, Black (with respect to the Diaspora). A STRONG dancer who is versatile in all forms of contemporary dance, and comfortable within their spirituality. Playing the tambourine is a plus.
FEMME DANCER/SINGER
Femme and/or Female (cis, trans, or non-binary), 18+ to play 15-19 years old, Afro-Latine. A STRONG dancer who is versatile in all forms of contemporary dance, and is comfortable with singing and their own spirituality. Playing the tambourine is a plus. MUST SPEAK FLUENT SPANISH.
A MAN TO PLAY PIANO
Male-presenting (cis, trans, or non-binary), 30-40s. Black (with respect to the Diaspora). Must have great piano skills.
