Upstage Theatre holding open auditions for the rest of the 2026 season of shows in Peoria, Illinois.

Somebody’s Getting Grease’d: Murder at the Reunion, plus a few more shows. There is pay for those cast to be in the show.

Auditions for:

  • Men 18-65
  • Women 18-65
  • Actors/Singers who can move/dance

WHEN: March 22 &23, 6:30 – 9pm

WHERE: GAR Hall, 416 Hamilton Blvd, Peoria, IL 61602 (The Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall, also known as the Greenhut Memorial, was constructed as a memorial to American Civil War soldiers in Peoria, Illinois, United States in 1909. )

    Performance Dates: May 8-10, 15-17
  • Bon Voyage: Murder on the High Seas!
    Performance Dates: Aug 7-9, 14-16
  • A Spectre Calls: A Ghostly Murder Mystery!
    Performance Dates: Oct 23-25, 29-31
  • Miracle in Mistletoe Town with our Andy Williams Christmas vaudeville olio!
    Performance Dates: Dec 4-5, 11-13, 18-20

Auditions date and Location:

When: March 22 & 23, 6:30-9pm
Where: GAR Hall, 416 Hamilton Blvd, Peoria, IL

Details:

-Prepare a song (preferably a showtune) to perform either a capella or with a back track
-Be prepared to cold read
-Be prepared to learn/perform a short dance routine
-Bring Headshot and Resume if available

ALL roles are contracted and PAID

WHAT TO PREPARE:

  • Bring a prepared vocal musical number (preferrable a showtune) either a capella or with a backtrack
  • Bring a headshot and resume if available
  • Be prepared to cold read
  • Be prepared to learn and perform a short dance number

ALL cast and crew roles are contracted and PAID positions. Cast and crew also receive TIPS after performances.
