A feature film titled Dead Calm: The Movie! is now casting background actors in Austin.
Dead Calm is looking to fill specific roles for an upcoming shoot. The project is seeking men to portray college frat types, with casting focused on those between the ages of 18 and 25 who have an athletic build and a classic, high-energy fraternity look.
Filming is scheduled for May 1 and May 2, with afternoon and night shoots planned across both days. All selected talent must be available for the full schedule, as production is only considering those who can commit to both dates. This is a local hire only opportunity, meaning applicants must be based in the Austin area and have reliable transportation, as no travel or lodging will be provided.
The rate is $125 for a 12-hour day, with payment issued in cash at wrap.
