About the production:
FOOTLOOSE, The Musical – audition dates as follows:
Sunday, November 9 at 7pm
Monday, November 10 at 7pm
Tuesday, November 11 at 7pm – Reserved for callbacks.
Director: Rodney Hamilton
Musical Director: Jessica Burchfield
Director Hamilton will be looking for quality dancers that can sing and for strong singers that can move.
ALL DANCERS MUST BE ABLE TO CONVINCINGLY PLAY HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS AND SENIORS. No one under 15 will be accepted.
Auditionees are requested to bring 32 bars of upbeat pop-music to auditions, unless otherwise directed by specific character descriptions. Please, no music from the show. An accompanist will be provided.
Please wear clothing and shoes suitable for dance movement.
Please prepare to list scheduling conflicts from Nov 9 through Feb 8, 2015. Conflict calendars need to be presented to the director for casting consideration.
Due to the high energy, tight harmony, dance-heavy script, 5-hour rehearsals on Saturdays can be expected. Rehearsals will take place on weekday nights as well. Expect rehearsals 7 days a week for the last 2 weeks leading up to opening night.
