Auditions for Speaking Roles in TV Series “Turn” – VA

AMC’s “Turn” is now casting for principal / speaking Co-star roles on “Turn: Washington’s Spies

Auditions are being held this week in the Richmond, Virginia area. The open roles are listed below. Please only apply if you live in the Richmond area or within a reasonable driving distance. Auditions will be scheduled between the 12th and 14th of this month and the episode will be filming between the 24th and the 5th of December. Those interested can see the available roles below.

Turn” is set during the period of the revolutionary war and is looking for actors that can fit into that time frame. The AMC drama series is set in the 1700?s.

Turn: Washington’s Spies” is based in the Alexander Rose book called Washington’s Spies. TURN: Washington’s Spies depicts the unlikely spy ring, called the Culper Ring, made up of young men who help turn the tides of the war and give Washington the win. The story centers on a farmer named  Abe Woodhull who lives in an area that id occupied by British soldiers. Abe and his friends join together to supply Washington with pertinent information about the British troops and their movements.

Location: Richmond, VA

NOTE: Actors must be available for their fittings in Richmond, VA no less than 24 hours prior to their first scheduled work date. Preferably where possible 48 hours before.

All principal (speaking) roles are either local hires (within 60 miles of Richmond, VA) or modified local hires (within 500 miles of Richmond, VA).

Seeking the following speaking roles for episode 206:

[MONK] Male, 30s – 40s, Caucasian. An intense patriot who is held prisoner in New York. Should have a clear singing/chanting voice. Goes by the nickname “Monk”(not an actual Monk) and is a leader within the prison population. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [CO-STAR]

[GARETH] Male, 20s – 30s, Caucasian. A gaunt, patriot prisoner who is desperate do anything to earn his release. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [CO-STAR]

[LAWRENCE WASHINGTON] Male, 34, Caucasian. The tall, dark-haired, dark-eyed elder brother of George Washington who was a soldier and well respected figure in colonial Virginia before his death at the age of 34. His confidence and regal demeanor set an aporational example for his brother. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [YOUNG WASHINGTON] Male, tall, 20, Caucasian. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [CO-STAR]

[SOLDIER 1, 2, & 3] Male, 20s – 30s, Caucasian. A trio of winter worn soldiers in the Continental Army. Their accents should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [CO-STAR]

[POST RIDER] Male, 30s – 40s, Caucasian. A brazen messenger for the Continental army who is used to riding far distances alone. His accent should have a British flavor to it, somewhere between an English and an American accent, reminding us that the colonies were still very tied to England and that these families had only been here for a few generations. [CO-STAR]
