African Contemporary Dancers needed for 2015-2016 Season

Afromoda Dance Theater is looking for dancers for our 2015-2016 season!
Dancers highly proficient in West African, Ballet and Modern techniques are invited to audition and join this unique company.
Afromoda creates compelling African Contemporary choreography, enhanced by the Artistic Director’s dynamic blend of movement, music and storytelling. Performances take place year-round in the DMV-area. The season runs September 2015 until March 2016.
Rehearsals take place at Joy of Motion Dance Center, Atlas. Performers will receive a performance stipend for all paid shows.
FOR THE AUDITION:
Please bring a resume and photo. Please wear appropriately fitted attire with a professional manner (nothing ripped or overly revealing). Dancers should also bring an African lapa if they have one. The choreographers prefer bare feet, or foot paws if needed. Dancers will learn and perform a phrase taught from the company’s repertoire.
