A TV show currently called “Mr. Throwback” is filming in Chicago and is seeking kids who can play basketball.
Steph Curry’s show will begin filming in the Chicago, Illinois area shortly and extras casting directors for “Mr. Throwback” are looking for Chicago locals to work on set.
NBC / Peacock has greenlit a basketball themed show called “Mr. Throwback,” and described as a mockumentary comedy with NBA star Steph Curry and Adam Pally. NBC announced the show which is brought by “Happy Endings” creator David Caspe and writers Matthew Libman and Daniel Libman. The series is created and executive produced by David Caspe, along with the Libman brothers, Adam Pally, Steph Curry, and Unanimous Media’s Erick Peyton.

Peacock’s “Mr. Throwback,” will be joining beloved mockumentaries like “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation” available on the streaming platform. In “Mr. Throwback,” a struggling memorabilia dealer seeks redemption by reconnecting with his former sixth-grade teammate, NBA legend Steph Curry.
Mr. Throwback – Preliminary Information.
Filming is expected to begin on May 6th and go through June 12th. We will be looking for a wide range of background actors (all ages, genders and ethnicities), stand ins and photo doubles, so please keep an eye on this page for upcoming casting notices.
We are starting the process of getting minor work permit paperwork established and sent out to parents. Please note this is only necessary for kids ages 15 and younger. If you know anyone with a young son that may be interested in working on set, feel free to forward the attached casting flyer to them.

Filming can typically take anywhere up to/between 8-12hrs a day.
