Andrews Living Arts Studio will hold its Fall Season Auditions Sat. Aug. 8 at 5 PM & Sun. Aug. 9 at 7 PM at the Studio Theatre, 23 NW 5th St. Fort Lauderdale, FL. 33301. Parking is free all weekend.
Under consideration include: “Marat Sade” by Peter Weiss, “Killer Joe” by Tracy Letts, “Pippin” by Stephen Schwartz. Also, “ Marilyn/God”, “ The Property Known as Garland”, and “An Evening with Edgar Allen Poe”. All of which are one-person, straight plays, and a Musical Revue entitled “Something Wicked This Way Comes” (performing during October) – includes songs from Broadway’s most “Spooktacular” shows such as “The Adams Family”, “The Rocky Horror Show”, “Young Frankenstein”, “Sweeney Todd”, “ Jekyll and Hyde”, “The Phantom of the Opera”, and of course “Wicked”.
Revue Conceived & Directed by David Scism. Auditionees may send their resume and head-shot(s) prior to RDNShows@gmail.com and request an appointment or just bring them to the audition date/time that’s convenient. No phone calls please. To audition, prepare a modern, dramatic, 1-min monologue for the straight plays, and 36 bars of a song from any show mentioned. Bring your own track or iPhone recording in your key. Non-Equity contract- lead roles are paid.
