Universal Pictures Steve Jobs Biopic Casting Call in San Francisco for Recurring Roles

San Francisco casting call for paid movie extras – Steve Jobs Movie 2015

Steve Jobs” is about to begin production in the Bay Area and is seeking both Union and non-union talent to be the films core group of extras.

Beau Bonneau Casting has released a casting call for SF Bay Area locals to fill a variety of roles including press, engineers, techs, and more. This is for the core group of extras whose roles will repeat throughout a few scenes in the production. The project will be filming from January 2015 through April 2015 and is seeking background actors who have a very flexible Schedule and are willing to grow out their hair since the film is set in the 80’s and 90’s. The film is also interested in people who have some older model cars from the 80’s that may also be used in the film.

Universal Pictures is currently working on a film about the life, or actually, the product launches of Apple founder, Steve Jobs. Variety reports that Aaron Sorkin will be helming the project and that X-Men: Days of Future past star Michael Fassbender is set to play Steve Jobs. Seth Rogen will also star in the film as Steve Wozniak, Apple’s co-founder and the creator of the original Apple computer. At some point both Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale were considering the role of Steve Jobs but ended up passing up on the film. The recent Sony hack actually included data about the project and according to Fusion, leaked internal data that revealed the Sony studio’s revenue forecasts for the Steve Jobs movie dropped 25% after Leo DiCaprio dropped out. In any case, Sony dropped the project and Universal Pictures scooped it right up and is moving forward with it.

The film is being called “Steve Jobs” on its IMDB page and is inspired by Walter Isaacson’s  biography. The “Steve Jobs” film will depict three Apple product launches in a series of 30 minute scenes, or at least, that’s the rumor thus far.
