Calling all Actors, Writers & Directors! Participate in our holiday-themed 24-Hour Theatre event. 24-hr Theatre is a production in which the scenes are cast, skits are written, and skits are rehearsed and performed all in the span of just 24 hours. Performance: Saturday, December 3 at 7:00pm at Institute for Therapy through the Arts in Evanston, IL. Preparations begin Friday, December 2 at 7:00 pm.
ACTORS:
Any actors auditioning must audition from 1-3pm. Actors will be given cold readings and at least ten minutes to prepare their scene with other auditioning performers. All actors can email fourstararts@gmail.com for a link for audition times and location. All auditions will be held at a private residence on the north side of Chicago, not far from the Southport Brown line stop. Directors are allowed to conduct phone interviews if they are not able to come in person between 11am-1pm on November 19.
Deadline for signing up for auditions is November 14.
WRITERS:
Writer prompt:
Please showcase your writing ability by creating a brief short story based upon the following three words: melody, witch, cage.
Submissions should be no longer than 200 words and include dialogue. All submissions should be emailed to fourstararts@gmail.com.
Deadline for writing prompt is 11am on November 19th.
DIRECTORS:
Director interviews will be from 11-1pm on November 19, 2016. Directors will be given a small number of questions.
