Extras Casting for History Channel’s “Vikings” 2016

History Channel’s “Vikings” is back in production and seeking more extras for upcoming 2016 episodes.

The show is filming around the Wicklow and Dublin areas of Ireland and is looking for locals who would like to work as paid TV extras on the show. “Vikings”  is now filming season 4. There is a new casting notice out in the Dublin area for athletic women to portray shield maidens. The show is also accepting general submissions from local talent.  Casting directors for Vikings  are not accepting electronic submissions, rather, they would like talent to send in their photos and information via snail mail. According to THR, the show will be coming back with double the episodes as well as a few new major cast members. Vikings  season 4 will get at least three new characters. Peter Franzen, will play King Harald Finehair who is described as  a Scandinavian warrior and potential threat to Ragnar  played by Travis Fimmel.  Joining  Franzen is another Finnish actor, Jasper Paakkonen, who plays his brother, Halfdan the Black. A third major role being added is that of Yidu. Dianne Doan  plays Yidu which is described as a major role. Returning in season 4 is a character we saw briefly in season 3,  Harbard the wanderer. Harbard will be back to stir things up.  Other reports state that season 4 of “Vikings”  will see a time jump of a few years and Ragnar’s son, Bjorn, played by Alexander Ludwig will come into his own.

Season 4 of “Vikings”  will premiere on February 18th on the History Channel.

The show does film in Ireland and is ONLY considering local talent able to work in the Wicklow area. Talent interested may follow the instructions below to get their application over to the casting team for the show.

We are Starting Back Filming early in 2016 for more Viking Madness.. If you live in Ireland and have already been out on set with us Last Year, been to our Open Castings Last year or Sent in your Application Form to us Already then we have your Details Already on File and no need to re apply.

However if there are any Keen Men and Women of any shape and size eligible to work in Ireland and have no Problem filming around Co. Wicklow and who haven’t applied to us already don’t Miss Out.

• Be aged 20-45
• Live close to Dublin/Wicklow (preferably)
• Have good availability for filming
• SPORTY, Good level of health and fitness. (Some Physicality may be required)
• Previous experience is a bonus but not essential
• Any skills with relation to MARTIAL ARTS, ARCHERY, BATTLE REENACTMENTS, MEDIEVAL WEAPONS would also be useful
