“Candy Ego”: BIOTECH CONSPIRACIES. PIZZA LOVING CULTS. TEENAGE RAVES. IN THIS SCI-FI COMEDY WHERE SUNSHINE MEETS NOIR, INNOVATION IS SEDUCTIVE AND SO IS SECRECY. TWO RESEARCHERS ARE ON THE CASE – AND ON THE RUN.
We have 12 featured roles available and are seeking dozens of extras, such as Zombie brides, Goth surfers, skaters, high schoolers, tai chi exercisers, drug reps, and many more.
Character bios:
Gladys: Female, 30s, Military deserter, grifter, wanderer.
Lu: Female, late 20s, fashionista from New York with a delusionally ingenue writing career.
Jesus: Late 20s/early 30s, sassy graduate student with a massive pill problem.
Jeff: 30s, vampyric, poetic night desk attendant.
Featured characters:
Paradise: Monochrome-clad teenager who likes to collect and huff little pieces of fabric in glass jars to get a high feeling.
Poppy: Recently widowed through her husband’s unexpected death, she’s trying to re-center and rebuild through elixirs, colonics, and gurus.
Schwartz: Lab manager and wine snob.
Bartender: Charming, not a care in the world.
LL: High school teacher. Messy, with a great social life that cleans up nicely for the classroom.
Luxor: Bar owner and Shamaness.
Cash: Non-conformist high schooler and badass.
Tuxedo: American Apparel-clad cult member.

Kim-Anh Schreiber is an artist and writer. She has exhibited in New York, NY; San Diego, CA; Tijuana, MX; and Mexico City at Material Art Fair, where her work was featured in Hyperallergic, AQNB, and i-D Mexico. She is the co-director of DATE NIGHT, an annual nomadic, alternative art fair, and the production company Hysterical Accuracy. She collaborates with Ellen Schafer as xxs xs s m l xl xxl.
