Towson U Film Dept. Seeks Actors for Film Productions

ANNOUNCING AUDITIONS FOR NON-UNION AND SAG-AFTRA-UNION FILM ACTORS
Student filmmakers from Towson University’s Electronic Media and Film Department are seeking actors to be cast in upcoming film projects. Professional and amateur actors from the greater DC-Baltimore area are invited to audition.
When: SATURDAY, MARCH 5th, from 10:00am – 5:00pm
Where: Towson University main campus, Media Center building, TV Studio (Room 102)

Actor auditions should be scheduled in advance, though we will try our best to accommodate walk-ins. To schedule an appointment to audition, email Prof. Joe Kraemer at towsonauditions@gmail.com. Please follow these steps when scheduling your audition time:

2. Email towsonauditions@gmail.com with your preferred time slot. Attach your headshot and resume, preferably as a PDF, to your email. If you cannot make the audition, WE STILL WANT YOUR HEADSHOT AND RESUME for our database, so please share that with us.
3. On the day of the audition, please bring a hardcopy of your headshot and resume for inclusion in our actor database. Prepare a 1-2 minute monologue to perform. Be ready to discuss your resume and any specific talents or experiences you can share with us.
4. Towson EMF students will be providing casting calls outlining the synopsis for each film project, character descriptions, and shooting dates at the audition. Further callbacks or meetings may be requested and arranged at the discretion of the filmmakers and actors.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: You will be videotaped, with your permission. You may decline to be videotaped if you wish. Only provide contact information you are comfortable sharing with the EMF student community. The contact information, headshot, resume and videotaped performance you provide will only be shared with student filmmakers attending Towson University.
If you cannot attend the audition but still want your headshot and resume shared, please send the documents to Prof. Kraemer for inclusion in the actor database.
Parking and Directions:
Towson University is located at 8000 York Rd., Towson, MD 21252. The Media Center is the building connected to the Cook Library.
Parking on campus is free and open to the public on Saturdays, without needing a parking permit. The closest parking areas are the Glen Parking Garage or Lot 1. Please see the following link for the campus map: http://www.towson.edu/maps/. Use the drop down menu to find parking options. Additional street parking is available on Cross Campus Drive off of York Road. Navigating campus can take time, so arrive at least 15 minutes early.
