Open auditions in New York for a theatrical production of “Sweeney Todd” at Little Radical Theatrics, a theatre troupe for young adults ages 18-30, is proud to announce OPEN AUDITIONS for the forthcoming production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET

AUDITIONS:
Tuesday, April 20, 2010 (7:00 pm – 10:00 pm)
Thursday, April 22, 2010 (7:00 pm – 10:00pm)

CALLBACKS:
Saturday, April 24, 2010 (1:00 pm – 6:00 pm)

PERFORMANCES:
June 18, 19, and 20, 2010
@ Play Group Theater in White Plains, NY

Helmed by LRT artistic director MICHAEL MIRRA and GEORGE CROOM (also serving as musical director), the production will have performances June 18th, 19th and 20th, in residence at the newly-opened Play Group Theater in White Plains, NY.

Rehearsals will be held 4 times / week, weeknights, for a stretch of 7 weeks beginning in May. Auditions, as well as, all rehearsals will be held at The Holy Name of Jesus School in Valhalla, NY, directly off the Bronx River Parkway, and across the street from the Valhalla train station.

NOTE: Not everyone cast will be called for all rehearsals.

WHAT TO BRING: Please prepare 16-32 bars of classic/standard musical theatre song that showcases both range and acting ability. Please, no pop/rock. Any Sondheim and/or from the show is surely welcome. Bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided.
