Open Casting Call / Audition Notice for “Memphis”, Casting Dancers who sing for a Broadway Production – $1605 per week performer contract

Memphis tells the fictional story of Huey Calhoun, one of the first white disc jockeys who dared to play rhythm & blues music for his white teenage listeners in the early 1950s.

Seeking:
Ensemble Dancers: Men and women, dancers who sing well, to play various ensemble characters (20s – 40s, all ethnicities). Seeking excellent, athletic dancers who sing. Tumbling a plus for men.

Please come prepared to dance. Women bring flats and heels. Also prepare 16-bars of a pop/rock or R&B song in case you are asked to stay and sing. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided. Bring picture and resume, stapled together. Equity Chorus Procedures are in effect.
