CASTING CALL: Looking for homeowners

We’re looking for homeowners to be part of a new home makeover series on a leading home improvement network.
Do you have…
• A master bath that needs updating?
• An unfinished basement you’d like to convert to a tricked out media room?
• An outdated kitchen you’d like to sizzle some new life into?
• Or any other room in your home that just needs a new purpose?
The concept is very simple. You show off your room on our network’s website, then we let the viewers and online community vote on how to best renovate it, giving them choices on everything from lighting, flooring, paint color, cabinets, furniture, and more.
You get a free makeover, but have no say in how it turns out.
It will be a fun process that will help you make those choices you’ve been putting off for so long; and, because our designer is there to ensure everything comes together, you can be certain you’ll end up with a beautiful, one–of-a-kind room with a great story behind it.
Ready to change the way you live?
Send an e-mail to (runmymakeover@rivr.com) explaining the following:
A. WHO you are… name, address, phone number, and the best time to call.
B. WHY we should choose your room.
C. WHAT you’d like to have done to your room along with dimensions.
D. WHEN your home was built.
Be sure to include photos of your family and your space.
We’ll also need a scout video of you and your spouse in order for further consideration.
Basically what the video will entail is getting you and your spouse on camera, so it’s best to get a friend to shoot it. You’ll introduce yourselves, tell us how you met, and the basics such as your ages, and occupations, those kinds of things. Then, you’ll take us on a tour of each space that you want renovated and tell us why the rooms aren’t working, and what you’d like to see in the space. We’re looking for people with personality and high energy. Plus, a good before and after transformation. For editing reasons, we’ll need the scout video shot on either a playable DVD or mini DV. Also, please no VHS tapes. And make sure to finalize the tape before sending. You can send the video to:
