Between Movement Contemporary Dance Co. will be auditioning both MALE and FEMALE dancers for their December production of The Raven. This dance work will take romantic ballet themes and stand them on end. A blend of the Swan Lake love themes and the macabre of Edgar Alan Poe’s The Raven, this contemporary dance work promises to thrill audiences!

Requirements
*You should be at least 17 years of age and have reliable transportation.
*You should have three or more years of formal dance training. All genres are welcome, but we are a modern company and your training should reflect this.
*You need to be able to make a regular time commitment to us. Rehearsals are weekly on Sundays from 5:30-9:00pm. One additional rehearsal may be scheduled weekly. Rehearsals are at the Hartford Arts Center (420 New Park Ave.)
*There are no fees to you, not even for costumes. Performances are paid. We do not pay for rehearsal time. Performances December 2 and 3 @ The Academy of the Arts – Hartford
Audition Process
– A 1-hour company class will be taught by the artistic director.
– Please bring a resume and headshot.
– Choreography will be explored and performed to evaluate movement proficiency.
