W.S. Gilbert’s
Foggerty’s Fairy
Directed by Felicity Ann Brown
Foggerty’s Fairy will be performed as part of the the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Gettysburg, Pa. at 2:30pm on June 28th, and as part of the 2011 Capital Fringe Festival, which runs July 7th-24th (performance venue and dates/times TBA). The cast includes 6 men and 7 women.
Male roles:
* Frederick Foggerty
* Walkinshaw
* Talbot (a wholesale cheesemonger)
* Dr. Lobb (mad doctor) / Walker (wedding guest)
* Dr. Dobb (mad doctor) / Balker (wedding guest)
* Blogg (a mad keeper) / Uncle Fogle
Female roles:
* The Fairy Rebecca
* Jenny Talbot (Engaged in Act I to Foggerty and in Act II to Walkinshaw)
* Miss Delia Spiff (a matter-of-fact old lady)
* Tottie (one of Jenny’s bridesmaids)
* Lottie (one of Jenny’s bridesmaids)
* Aunt Bogle
* Miss De Vere (a romantic lady)
Auditions will be held at Holy Redeemer Church at 4902 Berwyn Rd. College Park, Md. 20704
Saturday, April 2nd at 11:00am
&
Sunday, April 3rd at 2:00pm
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, which can be found on the G&S Archive at http://math.boisestate.edu/gas/other_gilbert/foggerty/
