Casting directors for the feature film KICK ME are now conducting a national talent search to find an unknown male to play the lead role in this upcoming action-comedy.
LUTHER – African-American male, 16, chemistry nerd with a linebacker build.
When: Sat. April 21, 10:00am – 3:00pm
Where: Golden Gate Branch Library, 5606 San Pablo Ave, Oakland.
Auditions are open to actors and non-actors alike. Applicants will not be asked to read or perform, just meet with the casting directors for a brief interview and screen test.
KICK ME is the story of a high-school guidance counselor (Santiago Vasquez) who reaches out to a troubled student – Luther – and ends up running for his life.
Shooting on KICK ME will take place in Kansas City from May 20, 2012 to June 20, 2012.
Gary Huggins is KICK ME’s director. Praised by Filmmaker Magazine as one of its “New Faces of Independent Film”, Gary Huggins is a Kansas City based filmmaker whose short films have screened at Sundance, SXSW, Clermont-Ferrand and dozens of festivals worldwide. KICK ME is his first feature.
