Diverse casting of strong vocalists/actors desired. All
genders/ethnicities welcome!
Men/women/Drag queens/female impersonators are encouraged to audition.
Be prepared to sing two contrasting songs (16 bars of 1 ballad & 1 up-tempo)

This musical is about a typical American single parent family.
Joanna Karen Smith (Momma) has always been a woman of faith. After
more than 32 years of self-sacrifice and raising children, Momma is
fed up, and is giving her grown daughters 5 months to get themselves
together. Will her plans for an empty nest be thwarted when unexpected
tragedy hits? This musical comi-tragedy is filled with original tunes
from many genres; jazz, blues, gospel, hip hop, classical, big band,
etc.
Seeking:
NARRATOR (male)
Someone who is well spoken and gives an over-the-top performance!
Male/Possibly a drag queen/female impersonator/transgender role.
MOMMA
(Alto with a Soprano belt earthy, motherly tone, fuller sound) A
strong actress is needed who moves well to play a woman in her early
50’s.
SHYRON (the oldest daughter)
(Mezzo-Soprano more Neo-Soul, Jazzy,R&B type style) Female in her
early 30’s, ran away from home in her teens. She is very strong,
grounded and self-confident but has abandonment issues.
FAITH (second oldest daughter)
(Mezzo-Soprano with a Gospel belt) Female late 20’s with a peaceful
prayerful spirit and a passion for sharing her love for God.
TEQUILA (second youngest daughter)
(Soprano with a Classical influence) Female mid 20’s has been in and
out of jail, but wants to change her life.
PRECIOUS (youngest daughter)
(Alto with Urban-Pop influence) Female early 20’s, materialistic and
always on the go.
SHARICE
(Soprano with a Musical Theatre, Pop influence) Female 14 years old.
She is more experienced than other children her age.
