In the New York Film Academy thesis film “Ups&Downs”a depressed man receives a package, with a content that could get his life back on track and guide him towards happiness, if he figures out it’s proper use.
It’s an ambitious dark comedy that shows our destructive human nature in an original and lighthearted way. It digs into feelings of dissatisfaction and explores how our instinctive selfishness leads to desolation.
William is a middle aged Caucasian. Short, average build, sharing subtle facial and physical similarities with Steve Martin. Thin blond hair, (retreating hairline) experiencing a mid-life crises.
