So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD)

SYTYCD open casting call schedule

So You Think You Can Dance is coming back for 2012 and season 9. Open auditions for dancers began this week and will go on through March 2012 where they end in Los Angeles on the 2nd.

The series features dancers in many different dance styles. Producers are seeking flexible dancers who can learn various dance styles including Ballet, Break Dance, Krump, Salsa, Swing, Tap and Jazz.

The show is travelling cross country looking for the best or, most likable, dancers in the country. This is your chance to wow the judges and get a shot at the show. Last year, the show’s winner walked off with the grand prize of $250,000 and the title of America’s Favorite dancer. The SYTYCD winner from last year, Melanie Moore, also participated in a national SYTYCD tour and got multiple contracts with advertisers for ad campaigns.

Those dancers who make it through the audition process and are selected will be given a ticket to Las Vegas for another set of callbacks. During the callbacks, the dancers will work with choreographers on multiple styles of dance for a chance to get on the show and compete.
