CASTING CALL: ON-CAMERA SPORTS HOSTS, CO-HOSTS AND REPORTERS

Do you have a deep passion for sports and feel you have a better-than-average knowledge of sports facts and history? Are you usually at the center of the debate when talking sports with your friends? Are you/would you be comfortable transitioning your sports conversations to broadcast?

If so – we’d like to meet you.

Our new digital sports network is launching soon in Chicago…. and we’re looking for additional on-air talent (male and female, all ethnicities) between the ages of 18-40 who can demonstrate expert sports knowledge while entertaining a mass audience in a casual, conversational way. We’re looking for both full-time and part-time talent who can deliver their own unique, unfiltered take on everything sports.

Additionally, we’re looking for sports talent who are avid users of social media, and use twitter, Facebook and others to discuss sports with their peers (this would be a Social Media Reporter position).

AUDITION TIME

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD JUNE 27 and 28, 2013 in the West Loop of Downtown Chicago.

AUDITION PROCESS

If you’d like to audition, simply follow these steps.

Email your name, address, phone number and a short paragraph bio (your love of sports, your current job description, previous related experience if any) to audition@120Sports.com

You’ll receive an email conformation from us with available time slots on THURSDAY JUNE 27th, to visit our West Loop studios and interview in person. The interview itself should only last 20-30 minutes at the most.

On audition day, bring with you a current resume (doesn’t have to be a sports or broadcast resume) and a headshot/current photo of yourself (doesn’t need to be a professional shot… but a simple clean photo). When you arrive, you’ll be asked to take a brief, fun written sports quiz… and then meet with one of our producers.

Later in the day, we’ll contact those who we’d like to meet again for a callback audition, to be held on FRIDAY JUNE 28th. At the callback, you’ll be asked to talk sports while matched with another sports fan, on-camera.

Agents/Managers

If you represent a client/talent, please follow the process above and identify yourself as an agent/manager. Please note that the positions available are non-union.

NOTE TO AGENCIES: This isn’t a posting for an acting job. The on-camera talent hired for the network will be individuals who possess a high expertise in sports knowledge, and an original, infectious personality. Our sports personalities will have an authentic edge – and can’t feel rehearsed in any way.

Attire

Those who audition are asked to wear hip/casual clothes… as you would wear if you were going out with friends for dinner and fun.

Deadlines

If you wish to schedule and audition, the deadline to do so by email is 5pm cst Monday, June 24th. Please note that all auditions are appointment only. Walk-in’s will not be allowed to audition.
