Come audition for our very hilarious very queer fairy tale burlesque play! Brought to you by JZ Bich (who has produced the wildly popular Hyper Gender at WOW Cafe for the past 6 years) and hosted by WOW Cafe, our show comments on the conflicts among three generations of lesbian and queer women, and is as fiercely sexy as it is full of heart. We are looking for a woman over the age of 50 (that’s OVER the age of 50) to play a lesbian separatist who lives in the woods, quietly maintaining an intentional community even as it dwindles. Butch, tough, tender, and an avid recycler, she is deeply in tune with her environment and will stop at nothing to protect those who need protecting. It’s a light and funny show that tackles issues of ageism and transphobia that often go unrecognized, unspoken, and unchallenged within the lesbian/queer community. Come join our journey! We will need you for six shows, June 13-15 and 20-22. We’ll split the profits evenly among all performers; you’ll get some beautiful professional photos; and you’ll have an amazing role in a new play produced by an acclaimed burlesque performer and an emerging queer writer.
