Auditions and castings for a big Hollywood production are coming to Missouri. This weekend a 20th Century Fox production is coming to Cape Girardeau looking for movie extras.
The 20th Century Fox film “Gone Girl” is currently in pre-production and the auditions/castings for Extras in the area is a good indication that the film will be shooting there soon.
The film is looking for many extras of all ages and ethnicities. Extras under the age of 18 are welcome at the open call but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be considered. All extra jobs are paid jobs.
The film will star Rosamund Pike (Jack Reacher), Ben Affleck and Neil Patrick Harris. Tyler Perry is also rumored to have a role in this film.
“Gone Girl” is about a woman, Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pike) who mysteriously disappears on the day of her fifth wedding anniversary. The story focuses on what happened to her and whether her husband, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) was involved in the disappearance. The movie is based on the novel, “Gone Girl” that was written by Gillian Flynn. Flynn’s novel rocked the New York Times best sellers list. Gillian Flynn also wrote the screen play for the film adaptation of the novel.
“Gone Girl” will be directed by David Fincher who also directed “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, “The Social Network”, “Fight Club” and “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”. Reese Witherspoon is also rumored to be producing this the movie. Hamilton Casting will be holding the casting call and will be in charge of hiring extras.
“Gone Girl” will be released in 2015.
