Cherry Hill Photo is looking for lively female individuals for a Butterfly Fairy Princess during the Easter Season at its Pickering Town Centre location. The Butterfly Fairy Princess will work alongside the Easter Bunny greeting and entertaining mall shoppers and visitors around and on the Easter set. You will be given a story line to follow with the theme of the set, however additional elaboration of the character will need to be made, as well as singing to children.
Applicants must be reliable, responsible, & love working with children. All training & costume fitting will be provided prior to the season opening. Applicants must be available for an interview AND live audition on March 2, 2013; and for training the evening of March 6, 2013. Applicants must pass a Criminal Background Check, be between the ages of 18-25, between 5’ – 5’ 5”, and up to a dress size of 6.
Various hours available, however applicants must be available weekday afternoons and all day weekends. Employment runs from March 8 – 30 inclusive, with the exception of Good Friday. Previous acting, theatre, or musical theatre work is required, costume experience is an asset. Vocal training, experience with children, and a strong speaking voice are assets.
Applicants must enjoy interacting with children, mall shoppers, & parents/guardians. An understanding of the non-religious Easter season, role of the Easter Bunny, & its relationship to children is required. Applicants must speak, read & write fluently in English. Scheduled hours will depend on successful applicants’ availability & may range from 8-16 hours per week.
