Movie Auditions in Portland Maine

Gum Spirits Productions will be filming a movie in Portland, Auburn, Tumford and other parts of Maine called “Anniversary”. Producers are looking to fill approximately 20 to 30 open roles. Portland production company Gum Spirits Productions will be shooting scenes this coming winter of 2014. The filming will take place in the towns of Auburn, Rumford, West Paris, Windham and Sanford.

The movie is holding auditions for the roles this weekend, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday!

The film is seeking: Acting hopefuls ages 40 to 80-plus, also, the more scraggly, the better.

“Anniversary” is about a town called Whatley, a once-propserous mill town hit hard when the industry left town.

The casting call will be this Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Great Falls Performing Arts Center in Auburn.

There will also be another casting call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Gum Spirit offices on Commercial Street in Portland.

Producers say that those coming to the auditions will need to do a on-camera read and if chosen, there will be a 3 day commitment this winter when shooting of the film begins.

People who go to the casting call will be asked to do read-throughs on camera.
