ABC TV Pilot “American Crime” Needs REAL Police Officers in Austin TX

On Location Casting in Austin Texas is looking for some real life police officers, detectives and police station employees for a scene filming later this month. You MUST have real life experience as a police officer and live in the Austin area.

They are requesting that police officers interested in working on the project send in their photos. The films producers will be picking from. They are requesting that those interested send in photos of them in uniform, if they have one. More details are below.

This is for work between 3/12 and 3/26.

AUSTIN, TX Casting Notice – ABC Television Pilot “American Crime” for work on one or more of the following dates: WEDNESDAY 3/12/14, THURSDAY 3/13/14, MONDAY 3/17/14, FRIDAY 3/21/14, MONDAY 3/24/14, TUESDAY 3/25/14, WEDNESDAY 3/26/14 (subject to change).

**PLEASE SHARE THIS NOTICE with any Law Enforcement personnel you may know!! Thanks! Do NOT need to have an OLC profile for these positions**

Pay rate is $58.00 for 8 hours ($7.25/hr) plus overtime paid after 8 hours (if necessary). Rate MAY be slightly higher for some depending on what type of ‘special ability’ work is required relating to your field.

We obviously do NOT have Call Times yet so it could be a VERY early morning start and/or could possibly shoot late into the evening/night. You MUST have open/flexible availability if submitting so that you can work WHATEVER the call times ends up being. If not, please DO NOT SUBMIT!

Location is in the AUSTIN,TX area.

EXTRAS
UNIFORM POLICE OFFICERS: male and female, all ethnicities, age range 21-50, REAL POLICE who are experienced. Should have real life experience in a law enforcement environment as a Uniformed Officer.

DETECTIVES: male and female, all ethnicities, age range 30-65, REAL DETECTIVES who are experienced. Should have real life experience in a law enforcement environment as a Detective.

POLICE STATION PERSONNEL: male and female, all ethnicities, age range 25-60, REAL POLICE STATION PERSONNEL who are experienced. Should have real life experience in a law enforcement environment

Photos can be taken with a camera phone but should be taken by someone else of you and NOT a ‘selfie’ into a mirror!

American Crime creator John Riddley featured extras casting

The TV Pilot / series is created by academy award nominated writer John Riddley (12 years a slave) and is a drama series that will take on the complicated issues of racism in a story about a murder, the murder trial and those involved in the legal process of that trial.John Riddley is also executive producing the ABC show.
