Sandra Bullocks new film “Our Brand is Crisis” is having a casting call for paid extras.
The film is currently shooting in the New Orleans, Louisiana area and is seeking NOLA locals to fill a few roles in scenes that are filming this week. While the film shoots in NOLA, it is set in South America and has been using many Hispanic extras. The project’s CD’s at Central Casting are seeking Hispanic ladies between the ages of 30 and 50 something to play prisoners on Thursday, men and women in the same age group for an 11 day booking that will film between Thursday, 10 /16 and the 31st. Also, for Friday, they are looking for Hispanic background talent ages 20’s to 70’s for a carnival scene who preferably have Mardi Gras type costumes.
The Warner Bros. project will bring together Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. The two actors are both producers of the film and Sandra Bullock is also starring. “Our Brand Is Crisis” is described as a political comedy and is inspired by Rachel Boynton’s 2005 documentary about American politics in South America. The documentary which was also called “Our Brand is Crisis“, followed the political consulting firm of Greenberg Carville and Shrum. More specifically, the documentary focused on the political campaign of Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada in South America and how that campaign was influenced by the consulting firm and other US involvement in South American politics. Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada also called “Goni” had been President a decade back and oversaw the privatization of Bolivia’s economy which sold off national assets to private companies. Goni’s campaign did not go as planned and became overly focused on negatives when they tried to beat out their political competition.

– 30’s-50’s Hispanic looking Men & Women who have not been seen on this movie and are available to possibly work for 11 days. Thursday 10/16 and then 10/20-10/24 & 10/27-10/31.
– 20’s-70’s Hispanic looking Men & Women available to work on Friday 10/17. Friday’s call will start in the late morning and be shooting until near midnight. Need some people in this group that also have Carnivale / Mardi Gras type attire.
