The hit CBS reality competition show “The Amazing Race” is coming to Denver for an open casting call.
The local CBS affiliate (Denver CBS 4) will be holding the event on Thursday, January 23rd. The event will be taking place at the Sports Authority at Southlands, 6305 S. Main Street near South Aurora Parkway and Orchard Road.
The show is seeking to cast teams of 2 with a pre-existing relationship such as spouses, siblings, friends, co-workers, etc.
If you have dreamed of traveling around the world… on a reality show, well here is your shot. Teams of two will compete in a global race. The losers will get eliminated and the winners will move on to next week with a chance to win a huge cash prize. So get your partner ready and come on down to tryout
Think you have what it takes to win the Amazing Race… and take the cash that goes with that win? Come on down to the casting event to tryout and see if you and your partner make the cut!
Auditions begin at 10 a.m. Hopefuls can begin to line up at 8 a.m. You must arrive with your teammate. Only the first 200 will have a shot at trying out for the show, so don’t be late.
The show will film in the spring of 2014.
THE AMAZING RACE has won multiple Emmy awards and is hosted by Emmy-nominated host Phil Keoghan. The show casts teams of 2 which compete against other teams of 2 in a trek that takes them around the world where they compete in challenges to find out what their next destination to get to is. As the show progresses, the slower teams get eliminated until there are few teams left. The team that reaches the final destination of their journey wins $1 million!
Auditions will be taped and then sent to casting directors to make the decision on who to cast for the show.
You don’t need to bring anything with you but a really good pitch for why your team deserves the shot to take “The Amazing Race”. Be ready to do a 1 minute pitch to the camera and you are allowed to use props.
