The “Vacation” reboot is now in production in the Atlanta area and is seeking featured extras and extras for next week.
The movie’s casting directors are seeking men and women ages 18-45 to be featured extras during a fun and wild, desert music and art festival scene that is supposed to be like the “Burning Man” festival. Also, the movie’s casting directors are seeking extras with cars to play pedestrians. The “Burning Man” scene will film on the 16th, 17th and 20th and will be a 3 day booking.
Warner Bros and New Line are behind “Vacation” which is being directed by John Francis Daley (‘Horrible Bosses‘) and Jonathan Goldstein (‘Horrible Bosses‘). Goldstein and Daley also wrote the script for the film. Chris Bender, David Dobkin and Jeff Kleeman are producing.
The next generation of the Griswolds are going on vacation. This time around, Rusty Griswold is in the driver’s seat with his own wife and kids. Ed Helms will be playing Rusty. Christina Applegate will be joining him as his wife Debbie Griswold. Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Day are also in the cast. Chris Hemsworth will be playing Audrey’s husband Stone, an anchorman and Day be their river rafting guide. Chevy Chase and Beverly D-Angelo are expected to make cameo appearances as well.
Please note there are 2 separate casting calls below and they both film around the Atlanta and Stockbridge areas. Please only apply if you are local to the areas.
“Vacation” extras to play pedestrians with cars
Casting men and women ages 21-60 to be pedestrians with CARS
(GOOD CAR COLORS are blue, green, grey, burgundy/maroon, brown, beige/tan, etc… NO red, white, black or custom colors… )

1. Start time will be early morning and pay is $64 for 8 with OT after that and there is a $25 bump for your car.

Casting for MEN and WOMEN, ages 18-45 to be our featured extras during the fun and wild, desert music and art festival scene (that is meant to be similar to “Burning Man”)
For this first group, we need energetic awesome people, both attractive and also character (artist types) who are open to being costumed in a mix of wild, interesting, ecletic, “colorful”, bohemian, hippie, and/or possibly skimpy costumes that WE have to dress you in (i.e. this is not for shy people or for anyone that is body conscious , etc..)
NOTE 1: IF you are selected, you will need to go on a PRE-FITTING next week, on Wed (10/8), Thurs (10/9) OR Fri (10/10)
NOTE 2: the pay rate will be $64 for 8 hrs with OT after that
