The show is currently casting for a year round dinner theatre/murder mystery show that will be performed at the Mardi Gras Casino. Shows will be performed Fri & Sat evenings and a Sunday Matinee as well as possibility of added shows as needed.
Primary actors must be able to commit to a minimum of two weekends per month, secondary actors must be able to commit to one weekend a month and everyone must sign a 4 month contract.
Need 2 Women & 3 Men to fill comic character roles improv experience preferred. We are also looking to cast a stage manager.
Must be 18 or over
JACQUE: Open age 18+ Jacque is the Maitre d at The Mardi Gras Casino. He is very high strung and his temper gets him into trouble. He has been transferred to this position as a last chance to prove himself and things aren’t going so well.
BARBARA ELLA: 21-40 Very attractive fem fatale type (think Jessica Rabbit). Character is referred to throughout the script as busty so actress needs to be or be able to look busty. She is a travel agent in Hollywood FL. She went through a major break up and is now out sowing her wild oats. She has pretty much alienated all of her friends in the process but that doesn’t stop her from partying even if she has to do it alone.
JOE: Actor need to have REAL bartending experience and has to be 21+ as you will be the actual bartender. He is an openly gay man who has a quick wit and isn’t afraid to tell you how he feels. Everyone likes him when he is out but he goes home alone most of the time.
JOHN JOHNSON: Prefer 30-50 but will look at all. He is a problem gambler who started as a lounge singer in Las Vegas. This is where he met his wife DONNA. She was a showgirl and they hit it off right away but things have not been so rosy lately.
DONNA JOHNSON: Same as above prefer 30-50 but will look at all. She still very much loves her husband but they fight constantly. She is also very upset because he is never home and she is beginning to think he is hiding something from her.
PAID JOB – Per show + tips. Actors are responsible for food service.
Prepare to read from the script and be ready to improvise.
