NBC’s comic based “Constantine” is in production
There is a casting call out for some thin men to portray coal miners in NBC’s new show Constantine. Have a skinny, zombie type of look? If you do, you may be interested in the casting call below.
The folks at Marinella Hume Casting in Atlanta are seeking thin men between the ages of 25 and 65 with no visible tattoos. They do state that they are going for a zombie look. While there is no set call time, the scenes will film sometime between the last week of July and the first week of August. The below notice does specifically call for “fresh faces”, meaning people who have never worked as extras on this particular show. While filming may be a week or more away, those who are cast for the roles will need to make it to a fitting this week in Atlanta.
The new series will be based on the “Hellblazer” comics and star Matt Ryan as John Constantine, a man haunted by past sins that ends up fighting evil and the dark forces that may be. Neil Marshal will direct the show that will also star Harold Perrineau, and Charles Halford. Lucy Griffiths was set to play the female lead, but the word now is that Lucy is out. Lucy was part of the pilot and the studio made a decision to not recast her role, but rather replace it with a different female character… well, at least according to THR. OK, so Liv is out and Zed is in.As of last week, who was going to play the role of Zed was still up in the air.
The new NBC series “Constantine” is currently filming in the Atlanta area and will premiere on NBC this fall. You’ll be able to catch the show on Friday nights. NBC has released a teaser trailer and there have been a few posters as well.
