“Vampire Diaries” is looking for extras that are any ethnicity who are 21 to 38 years old for a scene filming next week in Decatur Georgia. The show is only looking for “new faces” or people that have not yet worked on the “Vampire Diaries”.
The Vampire Diaries airs on the CW network. The “Vampire Diaries” sister series, “The Originals” is also filming right now and also has been releasing a good amount of extras casting notices in both New Orleans and Atlanta. Those can be found under Atlanta Extras.
Casting for the show (Extras) is being handles by Background Artists Atlanta and from the notice it seems that they are looking for earthy rockers since it uses that description under attire.
Vampire Diaries is about a group of Vampires living in a fictional town called Mystic Falls. The town has lots of supernatural happenings including the obvious vampire problem. The series is about Elena, a woman, played by Nina Debrev, who meets a vampire and falls for him. She then gets sucked into the towns darker underbelly. The series takes a mysterious turn as Elena learns more about the mysterious vampire families and her connection to them. There is also a love triangle in the mix as Elena finds herself also drawn to her vampire boyfriends brother.
The show is only seeking to cast background that are local to the Atlanta area. Please do not apply if you are from out of town because travel expenses are not covered and extras can expect to make about $60 per day with filming days lasting between 8 to 12 hours.
