The new Playstation TV show ‘Powers’ is now filming season one in Atlanta.
There is a casting call out for hipsters, all ranges of hipsters, people with dreads, beards, colored hair and piercings are all welcome to apply to possibly be cast as extras / background actors in the new show.
Some months back Sony announced that it will be bringing the The Bendis and Oeming’s,’Powers‘ comic to the small screen. The new streaming series will premiere on the PS4 this coming winter. The live action series is filming 10 episodes this fall and Atlanta residents can get in on the act as paid extras on the show.
‘Powers‘ is about 2 detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who live in a world where superpowers are not that uncommon. In possession of such powers are not just the good, but the evil as well and the detectives investigate crimes committed by super powered villains. The show is looking for lots of extras. Last week there was a call out for extras to play the super villains, this week, there is another call out for the superhero crowd.
The show has been releasing quite a few casting calls in the last few weeks and here is one more….
CL Casting in Atlanta is seeking the following:
- Do you prefer to (always) bicycle or walk or bus instead of driving your own 3,000 ton black-blood fueled chariot for your 100 to 200 pound body?
- Do you read labels? Your eyes dilate when you see an organic certification, and narrow when you see “all natural!”
- Do you count how many days a week you work out instead of counting calories? And by working out, you mean “climbing” or “yoga” or “mountain biking” or “road biking” or “hiking”* or “kayaking” or “snowshoeing” or “skiing” or “snowboarding” or something human-powered, generally. You don’t like plugging in your bicycle and walking in the same place in sweatified, toxic, un-cocooned air.
- Do you drink coffee? Then drink more coffee? Even more coffee. You drink tea. You drink pu-erh. You don’t drink mate anymore. You don’t drink kombucha anymore. You don’t drink bubble tea. You do drink smoothies, and instagram them.
- Do you instagram everything, because it’s the quickest way to water your social media streams while preserving your life for your future children while still having a life (because instagram enables you to auto-populate your tumblr, hipster jesus, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter. You don’t have Pinterest).
