‘The 5th Wave‘, a new sci-fi film trilogy is filming the first film in the Atlanta area and they are casting paid movie extras.
The new movie will be an alien invasion series that follows a young girl as she searches for her brother and kicks some alien butt along the way. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where aliens have come and they are not that friendly. 4 waves of attacks have devastated the planet and now everyone must brace for the coming 5th wave of attacks which may finish off the survivors. The films will be based on the book written by Rick Yancey. Seems that aliens have been watching and waiting for centuries, and now they are getting up close and personal. ‘The 5th Wave‘ is based on the Rick Yancey book also called ‘The 5th Wave‘ which spent 20 weeks on the New York Times best sellers list. The film stars Chloë Grace Moretz (‘Kick Ass‘) as a teen alien invasion survivor, Cassie Sullivan.
The movie recently began production in Atlanta Georgia and will be filming into the fall in the area. ‘The 5th Wave‘ is backed by Sony Pictures and is currently scheduled for a 2016 theatrical release.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. ALL SUBMISSIONS NEED TO HAVE SOME ACTING / REACTING ABILITY to play students who will be featured in a small classroom scene with our lead actress – the scene involves a scary moment during the apocalypse (need to show panic and fear, possible screaming, reacting etc…)
2: The director needs to see photos asap to select who he wants to have us bring in for a quick interview THIS FRI 9/12 to see reactions, etc…
Filming dates are SATURDAY Sept. 20th and MONDAY Oct. 13th , and your schedule must be fairly flexible if the work dates change (after you are selected)
3: the pay rate for these students will be higher that the regular extra rate and that rates is still TBD

This will film/shoot in ATLANTA and you must be willing to work local here as an extra.
