Open Casting Call Coming Up in Charlotte for “Paper Towns”

The film “Paper Towns” is about to begin production in Charlotte and is holding an open casting call this coming weekend.

The film’s extras casting director, Tona B. Dahlquist will be hosting the event which will also hold a Christmas drive for our troops.

Paper Towns,” is based on the book by “The Fault in Our Stars” writer, John Green. The film will begin production in a few weeks and should be filming in the Charlotte area between November and December. The film will be hiring many paid extras of all age groups and types. The film is about 2 teens so they will be needing many teen extras (16+) as well as young adults who can still pass for being high school students. The open call will be held on the 18th at the Concord Mills Mall in Charlotte. Please see all the details below for more details about the event including what to bring with you.

THE MOVIE “PAPER TOWNS” IS SEEKING THOSE INTERESTED IN WORKING AS EXTRAS FOR FILMING

The Feature Film “PAPER TOWNS” (based on the novel by John Green) is seeking those interested in working as background extras on the film.
The Production Company Temple Hill Entertainment is responsible for the “Paper Towns” and “The Fault in Our Stars” adaptations.  Jake Schreier will direct “Paper Towns”. Actor Nat Wolff and model-actress Cara Delevingne will portray lead characters in the mystery based on an “average” teenage boy who pines for an “exceptional” teenage girl.

Filming will take place in Charlotte and it’s surrounding areas.
Production is seeking those of ALL Ages, Ethnicities and Types for filming.
Although ALL ages are needed, there is a special need for many 16-22 years of age able to portray High School students.

A CASTING CALL for Extras will be held:
Saturday October 18, 2014 at Concord Mills Mall (8111 Concord Mills Blvd, Concord NC 28027) near the food court area. Those interested may arrive any time between 10 am – 2 pm. All attending should bring a non-returnable current snapshot. Photos can be taken with a cell phone and printed on computer paper.

In conjunction with the casting call, Extras Casting coordinator Tona B. Dahlquist (of The Hunger Games, Homeland, Banshee) and group will be collecting items at Concord Mills to assist
with Operation North State’s NC Cares Christmas boxes for the Troops.

The group will be collecting the following items:
3 oz. bottles of Texas Pete Sauce, Lance Peanuts and Peanut bars, Peppermint Candy, Gum, Toothbrushes, Deodorant Sticks, Disposable Razors and Chapstick with aloe.
Please join them in “Making A REEL Difference” for the Troops by bringing one or several items with you to the casting call or simply drop off an item for the NC Cares Christmas Box collection drive. You do not need to be attending the casting call to do such.
