Open Casting Call in NYC for 2 Feature Films & HBO series

New York City residents who would like to work as movie extras, stand-ins or photo-doubles have an opportunity to attend an open casting call that will be held to fill roles for multiple projects.

The event will be held in New York City on the 5th and casting directors will be interviewing those that attend for possible work on 3 projects. Grant Wilfley Casting  is looking for background for the Universal films “Trainwreck” and “The Nest” as well as an HBO show that is being directed by Martin Scorsese.

Trainwreck” will be directed by Judd Apatow and the script is written by Amy Schumer (Comedy Central’s “Inside Amy Schumer“). The film will star Tilda Swinton, Brie Larson, Ezra Miller & Amy Schumer. Also, they will be casting for Universal’s “The Nest” which according to Variety,  reunites Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The pair will play sisters in this comedy. “The Nest” will be directed by Jason Moore (“Pitch Perfect“) and the script is written by Paula Pell ( “SNL”).

Please note that there are 2 different time slots that day, a morning session for Union members and an afternoon session for non-union.

Grant Wilfley Casting is holding an open casting call for people interested in working as background in film and television on Monday, May 5, 10a-12p for SAG-AFTRA members and 1p-4p for NON-UNION at Church of St Paul the Apostle, 405 W 59th St in Manhattan.

No experience necessary. Be prepared to have a digital photo taken.
We are currently seeking men with longer hair and women with natural-colored hair (no highlights) for HBO’s, “Untitled Rock N Roll Project”, directed by Martin Scorsese. The project is set in NYC in the 1970s.

We are also casting for: The Nest (feature film directed by Jason Moore, starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler) and Universal’s Trainwreck (feature film)
