Non-union web video series shooting for OUTDOORsmart! is casting for the lead role in their educational series. The videos will be used for educational purposes and distributed through the companies instructors. They are casting for the series lead of “Joe”, an experienced hunter who tells stories about his own experiences to help educate hunters and those who would like to begin hunting.
The project will film in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada at the end of next month. Though the video will be about hunting, no animals will actually be harmed. Firearms will be handled by actor but animals will not be killed during the making of this video series. Actor does not need a firearms license.
OUTDOORsmart! Hunting Video Series to be filmed in Peterborough, Ontario and surrounding areas
SUMMARY: An online video series that will be used to educate hunters and future hunters. The series will feature Joe, an experienced hunter who will use stories of his experiences to communicate course content. Filmed in and around Joe’s hunting camp, the videos will use a casual and fun interview style, mixed with live action and narrative. Animation and illustration will also be used. Although based on educational course content, the series will be engaging, entertaining and inspiring.
CASTING THESE ROLES
LEAD ROLE – Video Series Host
JOE: Male, Caucasian, between 30 and 40 years of age – Ruggedly handsome, athletic and masculine
A knowledgeable and experienced hunter, Joe works in the city during the week and spends as many weekends as he can at his family’s hunting camp. Joe is from a long line of hunters. His father taught him everything he knows and he plans to one-day share the tradition with his own children. A passionate hunter, Joe loves being at one with nature, but he also loves the many tools and new gadgets that can give him the upper-hand.
Actor will be Paid plus recieve meals and credit. If interested, you must get your submissions in by the 25th of August. Interviews for selected talent will be held between the 8th and 14th of September and this will film from September 25th through October 9th.

Looking for performance, character, and tone – some acting will be dependent on improvisation with direction.
Set locations will be both indoor and outdoor.
As required on set, training will be provided.

“Joe” must have availability for the full seven days of scheduled shooting (between September 25 – October 9) and must be available for studio recording time later in the month of October.
Some traveling will be required.
